2010 Spring Training
The
Pittsburgh Pirates 2010 Spring Training
schedule marks the 42nd anniversary of the Pirates
playing in Bradenton, Florida. The 33-game schedule consists of
15 home games, as well as the
annual State College of Florida (formerly Manatee Community
College) exhibition charity game.
The Pirates will open their 2010
Grapefruit League season against the World Champion New York
Yankees in Tampa on Wednesday, March 3. The Pirates will host
the National League Champion Philadelphia Phillies in their
spring training Home Opener at McKechnie Field on Saturday,
March 6 at 1:05 p.m.
The Pirates are scheduled to play a night game for the third
straight year at McKechnie Field when they host the Baltimore
Orioles on Wednesday, March 10 at 7:05 p.m. The game will mark
the first time the Pirates have played the Orioles at McKechnie
Field since 1993.
